Woodend based Samantha Moore, owner of Ramai Skin & Body Care was a finalist in the 2014 AusMumpreneur Awards. Samantha beat out 145 other women across Australia to reach the Top 10 in the Emerging AusMumpreneur category. The AusMumpreneur awards recognise the best and brightest in the Mumpreneur industry, acknowledging success in business, product development, innovation and amazing service. Samantha attended the glamourous awards ceremony held in Melbourne in October.
Samantha Moore has been in the beauty industry for 10 years and over this period, she has listened to clients speak of the need for later trading hours, longer weekend hours and more child friendly environments. So in 2012 she opened Ramai, providing waxing, tinting, spray tan, massage, facials, manicures and pedicures. Ramai is open late and one weekends and has a relaxing waiting room serving herbal teas and detox waters. There is also space where children can watch ABC KIDS or explore a toybox full of surprises (great for kids who need to be occupied while their mothers get treatments in the next room). Ramai also uses the most eco-friendly products including Pelactiv Skin Care, Organic Spa and Eyes of Horus Makeup.
In 2013, Samantha won Young Business Person of the Year in the Macedon Ranges Excellence Awards and in 2014, Ramai was a finalist in Macedon Ranges Excellence Awards in four categories.
